When you are studying hard for the GMAT, one way to motivate yourself through those long hours of study is to get out once in a while to meet your target schools. Whether you are planning to apply to one of our top-rated Texas business schools, or hope to go to another region or country altogether, you can start close to home. Many admissions events are hosted in Texas throughout the year. By making connections with members of the admissions teams, students, and alumni, you'll be taking a giant step towards your future in business school.

IE Business School One-on-One Meetings – Austin

Madrid-based IE Business School offers an International MBA program (90% international students). Its 12-month program includes a required entrepreneurial course and a two-month experiential "lab. Schedule a 1-1 conversation with an IE representative here in Austin.

MBA Tour Houston

The MBA Tour brings a wide array of business schools to Houston, and provides the opportunity to be invited to "meet up" with specific school representatives. (Submit a resume in advance for such an invitation.)

These business schools will be in Houston: Arizona State University's W.P. Carey School of Business (W.P. Carey), Case Western’s Weatherhead School of Management, Columbia Business School, Georgia Tech’s Scheller School of Business (Georgia Tech), Jenkins Graduate School of Management at North Carolina State University, MIT Sloan School of Business (MIT Sloan), Purdue University's Krannert School of Management, Terry College of Business from the University of Georgia (Georgia MBA), the University of Rochester's Simon Business School, and Washington University in St. Louis's Olin Business School (Olin). Part-time program admissions officers from Booth School of Business from the University of Chicago (Chicago Booth) will attend, as will Barcelona-based IESE Business.

Texas’ own McCombs School of Business from the University of Texas (UT McCombs) and Mays Business School from Texas A&M University (TAMU) are also sending representatives. Typically, other Texas business schools have a presence at this Houston event, too.
